Kensington Market
This was a class project in school that actually turned out to be one of my favourites. The brief was to make a graphic representation of Kensington Market, in Toronto, and it was to be folded to fit inside a pocket book.
While trying to find inspiration in Kensington Market, I stumbled upon some green ears dotted around with the word "Murmur" and a number to call. Calling a few of these resulted in hearing different stories from people who had unique experiences in the market, and I thought this was a really interesting story to try to illustrate.
I ended up choosing two stories for my folded piece, and used a series of images I took and found to try and tell the story, as well as actually transcribe the story I'd heard from the murmurs.
